Study guide

A seven-day study plan for a real week

A short week requires choices. This guide turns seven specific days into an executable sequence without pretending everything fits or assigning every available hour to study.

Before you start

Start from the end of the week

List exams, assignments and outcomes that must be ready by Sunday. Separate obligations from wishes. Mark fixed commitments and rest before treating any empty-looking slot as study time.

Choose three weekly outcomes

Use outcomes you can test, such as solving one problem family, recalling two units or completing a draft. Other subjects can retain continuity tasks, but avoid a main list of ten priorities.

Distribute effort and session types

Place hard work in reliable periods. Alternate learning, practice, review and correction. Put new content before review and keep a mock exam separate from its error analysis.

Close with reserve and review

Leave one or two blocks unassigned. At the end of each day record the stopping point; after the week, move only unfinished work and decide whether estimates need changing.

Seven-day check

  • Every exam is a visible boundary.
  • Each task starts with a concrete verb.
  • Long sessions contain breaks.
  • At least one reserve block exists.
  • No task is scheduled after its exam.

Practical example

A week with eleven available hours

Nine and a half hours are scheduled for Physics, History and English, retaining ninety minutes in reserve.

  1. Monday: Physics 60 min; break 15; English 45 min.
  2. Tuesday: History 90 min. Wednesday: rest.
  3. Thursday: Physics 60 min; break 15; History 45 min.
  4. Friday: English 45 min. Saturday: 60 min per subject with two breaks.
  5. Sunday: 60 min review or recovery. Net work is 570 minutes, or 9 hours 30 minutes.

Decisions and adaptation

If Wednesday is no longer free

Do not consume the next rest period automatically. Use reserve or move a secondary task to Sunday.

If an exam moves earlier

Stop new content sooner, keep representative practice and final review, and declare which units cannot be covered.

Frequently asked questions

Should I repeat the same week?

No. Keep a useful structure, but recalculate dates, pending work and availability each week.

How many priorities fit?

Three main outcomes usually keep decisions clear; other subjects can have short continuity work.

What if the reserve is unused?

Rest, complete a brief review or prepare the next week. It does not have to be filled.
